Celebrate the Pokémon TCG!
Celebrate the greatest moments of Pokémon over 25 years of adventures alongside favorites from Mew and Ho-Oh to Lunala and Zamazenta! An awesome parade of Legendary Pokémon appears, and famous Pokémon from the very beginning return to join your collection—you can even find Flying Pikachu and Surfing Pikachu as both Pokémon V and Pokémon VMAX!
Join the party with the Pokémon TCG: Celebrations expansion!
The Celebrations Pokémon Set lights up the Sword & Shield Series as a special 25th anniversary tribute, released internationally on October 8, 2021 (and in Japan as the 25th Anniversary Collection on October 22, 2021). Unlike standard expansions, Celebrations packs—found only in themed products like Elite Trainer Boxes, pin tins, and V Battle Decks—feature just four cards each, making every pull feel like a coveted keepsake. This set honors the Trading Card Game’s history, tracing its roots back to October 20, 1996, and bridges classic design with modern gameplay.
Inside the Celebrations Pokémon Set, you’ll rediscover Legendary and Mythical Pokémon from across all generations alongside a parade of Pikachu cards that revisit iconic artwork and mechanics from the Original Series, now updated for Sword & Shield. The 25-card Classic Collection subset delivers faithful replicas of fan‑favorite cards—complete with original numbering and rarity symbols—enhanced by an embossed confetti holofoil that sparkles like a birthday cake. Celebrations also surprises with “remixed” promo cards that resurrect bygone mechanics (δ Delta Species, Pokémon ☆, LV.X, SP, Prime, Dark & Light Pokémon), each stamped with the 25th Anniversary logo and the disclaimer (This card cannot be used at official tournaments.).
Collectors have plenty to chatter about beyond the artwork. Early Celebrations boxes sparked frenzy over the hidden Secret Rare Pikachu VMAX hatched in a party‑themed foil, and eagle‑eyed fans spotted slight miscuts where confetti swirls danced into the border—instant error‑card legends. While Celebrations itself skips a Reverse Holo parallel, its Japanese counterpart offers a full Reverse Holo treatment on non‑secret cards, making the 25th Anniversary Collection just as sought‑after. Whether you’re chasing nostalgic pulls or hunting down every confetti‑flecked Classic, the Celebrations Pokémon Set delivers a heartfelt thank‑you to fans and a treasure trove of TCG history in every pack.
