Ancient & Future Powers Endure!
The ranks of Ancient and Future Pokémon continue to grow! Walking Wake ex breaks free of the past alongside Raging Bolt ex, while Iron Leaves ex delivers high-tech justice with Iron Crown ex. Outside Area Zero, Wugtrio and Farigiraf shift types as Tera Pokémon ex, and Pokémon Trainers everywhere prepare for the return of ACE SPEC cards with uniquely powerful effects. A rupture in time brings wild beasts and cyber visions to battle in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces expansion!
The Temporal Forces Pokémon Set surges into the Scarlet & Violet Series as its fifth expansion, rolling out in Japan on January 26, 2024 (as Wild Force and Cyber Judge) and in English on March 22, 2024. Drawing cards from those dual Japanese blocks plus Starter Deck & Build Sets, each booster delivers ten cards alongside a Pokémon TCG Live code and either a basic Energy or Tera marker. With support for Ancient and Future variants of both Pokémon and Trainer cards, Temporal Forces continues the time‑bending themes first seen in Paradox Rift—inviting trainers to build decks that span eras.
Central to the Temporal Forces Pokémon Set are the new Paradox Pokémon trios, evoking both the Legendary beasts (Walking Wake, Gouging Fire, Raging Bolt) and the Swords of Justice (Iron Leaves, Iron Boulder, Iron Crown). These cards boast dynamic Ancient or Future text icons and textured backgrounds—strata layers for Ancient’s raw power, pixel art for Future’s cunning effects. The set also reintroduces ACE SPEC cards (now in bold magenta), a nod to the Black & White era’s most potent Trainers and Special Energies; remember, only one ACE SPEC may ride in your deck, but its game‑shifting effect can be worth the slot.
Beyond its mechanics, Temporal Forces is rife with collector allure. Look for seven ACE SPEC Trainer and Special Energy cards alongside 13 Pokémon ex, 2 Tera Pokémon ex, 22 Illustration Rares, 10 Special Illustration Rares, and six Hyper Rare gold‑etched treasures. Early Elite Trainer Boxes generated buzz over rare miscut gold‑etch prints—where Iron Crown’s crown motif dripped into the border—instantly prized by error hunters. And eagle‑eyed fans spotted that the Ancient and Future set symbols cleverly incorporate hourglasses and digital grids, a subtle tribute to Pokémon’s ever‑shifting timelines. Whether you’re chasing Raging Bolt’s high‑damage Ancient strike or mastering Future Iron Leaves’ crafty Abilities, the Temporal Forces Pokémon Set delivers a thrilling clash of past and future.
